Anyways, cool. Here's the art article:

“To win the opinion of the majority, the first thing you must do is identify the opinion leaders. Next you must create a rigid assortment of your ideals, with these grounding principles, a seemingly abstract definition of your esteem must enter a process of compilation, and detract from this esteem all identifiable elementary aspects which could threaten the livelihood of your existence. More simply approached, refine your ego. Having completed this indubitably, a screening of esteemed colleagues must be exemplified to the point of order. A meliose abstraction of the teeming atrocities which envelop the party which you have become a decided and truy honored participant is needed to appropriate the forthcoming seeds of creative decision making. Having the complete summation of the state of those esteemed colleagues with which you have the honor of conducting your mannerly affairs, a chain of insurrection can be undertaken as to oust those in charge and to assert your own opinions as a respected and respectful citizen, so that the majority of opinion will be propagated on the particular qualities of the polished terms which you deem appropriate to convey (the summation of your inherent principles). However, you must not approach the inferiors with degradation but with seasoned words. Preserve their dignity and convey the implicit confidence with which they are intacted. Always remember that all men are equal taken from the false lens of society. Remember that men are also worth only as much as their contribution to improving the whole, and that no man is better than the next, just others have more influence. Befriending the opinion leaders is a delicate process and must be done in such a way as to preserve the dignity of both parties involved. It is true that you must convince them that you are of good character, and are ambitious, and will undoubtedly continue to learn. You must then set a good example of how you would like those who look up to you to act after attaining your position of influence…”

The Art of Conversation…

Hello. I'm Steven Yessick, you know, the author and artist?...

@yessickart on twitter follow me!
If you've got Kindle Unlimited, you can read all of my books for free!

And now, from July 27th - July 31st, anyone can download my  complete pen and ink drawings book on Kindle for free! Nearly an 8 dollar value!

And Welcome to this site!

And btw, you can click on the pics and links to buy those items.. That's pretty far out, you know?
Anyways enjoy the site! It's all for you! Thank you!

Anyways, cool. Here's the art article:

Don’t you think the art of conversation is something many people really should consider improving, especially in this day and age?

Do you feel like it seems like we have gone backwards perhaps about 10,000 years in verbal communication skills with the onset of texting and smartphones?

We have forgotten this invaluable art form, and now misuse what had been the primary means of survival of humans.

And if you do know how to use this priceless and ethereal art form in the right ways, you will have a distinct advantage in life..

Here’s a list of how so so many people attempt to communicate, but they never really accomplish or learn anything because they are all caught up in their own heads.

People don’t know how to hold a conversation anymore. You know? (and when I say conversation, I don’t mean on the phone or texting.)

They will either:

  • talk over you…..
  • or are always quiet…..
  • just want to mess with your head…
  • only want to talk about themselves….
  • don’t want to share or participate……
  • are always on the phone… (even at planned get togethers)
  • way too opinionated….
  • judgemental snobs….
  • plain bullies and verbal abusers….
  • just downright mean….
  • close-minded (even when they think they are open minded)….
  • just plain stupid (like no common sense stupid)…..
  • sloppy drunks….
  • negative and critical of everything….
  • drama queens…..
  • or everything is supposed to be funny (which seriously gets old)……
  • Or a combination.
  • And I’m sure there’s more where that came from.

Why can’t people just be happy? If you think good things, good things will happen. Try putting good things on your mind instead of some crime drama b.s. Maybe you will have a more positive attitude.

Your subconscious mind believes everything it encounters. So, try something constructive instead of filling your mind with fear based programming, which only feeds the cycle of negativity..

Maybe you can go out and explore the world with your knowledge of the art of conversation, and perhaps make a difference in someone’s life…

(Sometimes life tests us and we have to change and evolve or else face the wrath of the universe.)

And, you have to know who is an asshole, and who is nice; and have to use your jedi skills to know the difference, so you can then also know how to deal with them…

Also….Please don’t talk about politics:

Everything is politics nowadays!!! It’s no wonder why we’re in three wars…Everybody’s pissed because all we talk about anymore is politics. Get a grip, people, for real…

Try helping people in a sincere way instead of running down the other guy.. All over facebook! They divided us on purpose to maintain control over us, ya’ll… All talking about politics does is start fights/qualms, and makes you look bad…. do you not know that?

Wanna be pissed at Trump? All you’re doing is egging him on. Believe that, yo…

More on Conversation

The best conversationalists are the best listeners. They ask open ended questions. And they never talk about religion or politics!!!!!! I want to engrave that on your consciousness!! Dig that…

And there’s a book that teaches you how to use inquiry to create pleasant everyday interactions here:
art of conversation
Humble Inquiry: The Gentle Art of Asking Instead of Telling

“Communication is essential in a healthy organization. But all too often when we interact with people—especially those who report to us—we simply tell them what we think they need to know.

This shuts them down. To generate bold new ideas, to avoid disastrous mistakes, to develop agility and flexibility, we need to practice Humble Inquiry.

Ed Schein defines Humble Inquiry as “the fine art of drawing someone out, of asking questions to which you do not know the answer, of building a relationship based on curiosity and interest in the other person.”

In this seminal work, Schein contrasts Humble Inquiry with other kinds of inquiry, shows the benefits Humble Inquiry provides in many different settings, and offers advice on overcoming the cultural, organizational, and psychological barriers that keep us from practicing it.” -from Amazon

How to talk: The Art of Conversation

You have to give(listen) to get(learn).. It’s a knowledge thing ya’ll… And you have to do it in a non-confrontational way (without conflict), and the best way to prevent conflict is to not talk back to people and to have respect!

There’s still a few good ones left who are real. Enlightened, cultured, refined, fun and serious tao-ish-like… (The balance thing, ya’ll..).

It’s a dying breed, people who aren’t brainwashed by TV (now they control your mind in larger-than-life hi-def resolution (and they make you want to pay money for it, basically just because everybody else does it.))

You lose face without a TV. Well, you think you will, but in reality it is all just garbage intended to feed the economy and keep you in a eternal state of emptiness..))… And it keeps you just lazy and fearful enough in a kind of government induced alternate reality vacuum of banality to make you not care about anything except yourself.. (which is quite apparent nowadays)..

Read a book? Practice random acts of kindness?

There’s still a few good real ones out there… Maybe… Hopefully… somewhere…I know a few of them, but nobody’s perfect.

“Whoso would be a man, must be a non-conformist.” ~Emerson

Who am I?

I’m sorta like a bum, I guess. (I have a lot of fun though) Or maybe a gypsy??? In a partially self-created state of exile??? Whatever..

I do, however, know that closed mouths don’t get fed… If you want anything in this life, you have to ask for it…

Also..

“Things standing shall fall, but the moving ever shall stay.” ~Bassavanna

I want you to think about that quote for a second, at least, it’s pretty profound if you actually take the time to think about something different than what you are used to…

It can actually help you survive; dig that…

And this…

“So be demanding if no ones listening
You will always find an ear
Set in motion what your life’s missing
There will always be a need.”

-U. McGee

Thanks,

@yessickart

Here’s a little video of some freestyle writing I did, that kinda relates, in a way, to conversation, go figure..

Art of Conversation

In order to engage in a real compelling conversation, one must first be a good listener. If one goes into a conversation wanting to get something from the other person then there can never be real balance in the conversation.

Also, one must always remember to remain positive and be truly interested in being friends with the other person and want to know more about how they are really doing.

When talking, it always also helps to refer to things around you to talk about. When you are at a bar, talk about wine or beer. If you are at a sporting event, talk about the star player. If you are at an intersection, talk about something that relates to that.

There are many things all of the time around us that we can bring attention to to include in the conversation. It helps to have something in common to talk about.

What to talk about

Many people who know the art of conversation keep up with current events and use news and information about things many people are interested in so that they can begin and maintain conversations with just about anyone.

If you have a genuine interest in something, there are probably other people out there who like that same thing. That is where clubs and organizations can be a great way to meet people.

Popular people are always meeting new people and making new friends. If you feel like you talk to the same few people all of the time, then you probably need to get out more and meet some new people.

It may seem hard these days this isolationist society where there is no real public center, and where the center keeps shifting, to meet people and begin conversations in today’s consumer and technology driven world. Just keep trying new things. You are bound to meet someone. The art of conversation can help you shape the future.

There’s a lot of interesting people in the world to talk to. Just get out there and do it. Throw yourself into a good and interesting conversation.

Anyways, cool. Here's the art article:

This best book on art theory is one of the best art theory books out there, basically because it is so unique. The cool thing about it is that it works like a study guide. You can write in the margins, and there is room to sketch, and add to the list. So, the author encourages people to take notes in the book and add to the list. This is a cool idea, I think.

So, here’s the link to this awesome art theory book, I think one of the best books on art theory out there:

best book on art theory
Art Theory: On Painting, Architecture, and Other Visual Media: Including Creative Inspiration for Artists

So, you can click on either the image or the link to see more. We also encourage you to read the first part of the introduction, as there are some deep and meaningful ideas on the perceptions of art in the initial introduction.

This is a fascinating book, because it is laid out like a list. Also, in the back, there is a list of ideas that artists can use to expand their awareness of the various facets of composition.

Composition, subject matter, and how to choose a design or plan a work of art are the main focuses of this book. It does cover various ideas correlating to architectural design as well.

When you read this book, you should not read it straight through. You should take the time and think about each idea seperately. It is a thinking book. It helps us think in different ways to expand our creative outlook. This best art theory book is also cool because the reader sees everything from an objective standpoint at first. Therefore each individual’s response to the book is unique as the person who reads it.

A highly recommended book for artists, art lovers, art theorists, architects, and maybe even musicians may get some form of inspiration from this book. It applies to many different forms of art, and can be interpreted in many different ways.

I like this book because it is straight to the point. It leaves out extra jargon and b.s. to give you the pure ideation that comes from an experienced artist.

The author of this best book on art theory to emerge in a while

The author of this book, Steven Yessick is a fantastic painter, designer, illustrator, and writer. His work is based on capturing the raw essence of a moment and moving that emotion through time in a tangible format. A lot of the principles behind his approach to art are based on dadaism, surrealism, and abstract expressionism. In some of his work, he sort of merges all three.

He published a book of the best of his paintings in early 2017. The painting book is also meaqnt to be used for expansion of ideas, and theories. There is a ton of room in the book to glean knowledge and write it down under each painting. If you want to find it on Amazon, here’s the link:

Steven Yessick Original Oil Paintings 2000-2009: A Journey into the Abstract and Unknown

Anyways, you can visit this cool page on Amazon, and check out some of the best work of Steven Yessick by viewing the peek inside feature when you arrive. You can see some of his best work in the front of the book.

Another Version

Also, you can get the kindle edition of the art theory book. Some may want to spend a little less on this best book on art theory in my opinion. So, there is a kindle version. And if you have amazon prime, you can get it for free. So, here’s that link:

best book on art theory
Art Theory: On Painting, Architecture, and Other Visual Media: Including Creative Inspiration for Artists Kindle Edition

^The kindle version.

Well, this book may be good to have if you like to read on your phone. It may be awesome to lay down and visualize some of the ideas he is talking about. The kindle version is a good way to get a copy that you can dream to.

So, this, I think is one of the hottest, newest, most contemporary, best book on art theory out there. If you get it you will definitely not be dissapointed. It is chock full of ideas that were expounded upon over the course of a long period of time. The writer gave this book a lot of thought over the years. Now all of that useful information is laid out in a simple format.

Why this book?

This book is big, and is like an ideabook, where two minds meet.
Not as good as the paperback, which is recommended, because the paperback allows you to bne a prt of the book as it unfolds new understasndings and awarenesses of art.
There are some other art theory books out there, but nothing is quite like this one. Truly a great read that harmonizes with the repentance of the negation of the system.

Anyways you will definitely enjoy this far out and cool read on art and lifestyles of artists.
It starts with an introduction of how artist’s should think about art when they are approaching it. It gives artists a fresh perspective on art. Many of the principles apply to other media such as architecture and music.

Truly a great delve into the world of @yessickart art theory, and some of the ideas were discovered and written down as respose to previous writings. What the artist did was start a list of ideas, and then he came back to them oiver time, as new things were learned. A neat adventure all compiled in one place for you to read and study. And you can add to it. I would like to see many new art ideas arise from this book.

More on this art theory book

If you think you have seen it all, then just wait until you see the list of creative inspiration ideas for artists. It has cool ways of describing shapes and how they are placed next to each other to create an image. If you like other art theory books, you probably have never seen one that is a list.

Truly remarkable work by some of the greatest artists of all time. Check them all out, and I invite you to click on all of the links, so that you can look inside each book, so that you can get a gist of what it is like. Try them out.

Art Theory: On Painting, Architecture, and Other Visual Media: Including Creative Inspiration for Artists – Kindle Edition

This is a book by Steven Yessick, the well known visual artist, who, among other books, has a new one coming out on Kindle on May 19th for free. Check out his author page:here

Steven Yessick has been making art his whole life. This theory book is great. It’s unlike any other book. It’s just basically a list of relevant ideas that apply to architecture and painting. You can find new ideas if you expand upon these. I wrote it over a course of nine years, so the list grows as I had come back to it. It’s an interesting look into the thoughts of an artist, and what artists think about. It is basically a ton of ideas all laid out in a easy to undersatand format. Check it out on Kindle!

Writings on Art and Architecture (1999-2016).. I kept a running list of ideas for years, and I added to it over a long period of time. New ideas were added to the list as they were discovered.

There is an introduction with poignant ideas on art as a whole. Next, is the list of ideas and theories expounded upon over time. Then, in the final chapter, there is a list of composition ideas for creativity for all types of artists. Overall, a highly relevant art theory book for abstract artists, contemporary architects, and anyone interested in furthering their own artistic sensibilities.

Art Theory: On Painting, Architecture, and Other Visual Media: Including Creative Inspiration for Artists – paperback

Writings on Art and Architecture (1999-2016). This paperback version is meant to be a workbook of sorts. There is plenty of room to add content, draw ideas, and expand upon these thoughts. So, if you get a hard copy, it is meant to be studied, with things written in it. I intend to get a copy myself, and add more to it, too. Then I will issue an updated version years from now.

Anyways, it is chocked full of ideas and good information. I think you will find the creative inspiration for artists section quite intruiging. So, get a hard copy and write your own ideas all over it. Expand, create, manifest… Thanks.

This book is meant to be marked upon. The more this art theory book grows, the more you learn. Having a paperback can be greatly advantageous to anyone pursuing art or architecture because it puts you light years ahead of your peers. It is a wonderful look into the mind’s eye of an artist, and really only artistic people should get it. They will understand it perfectly.

If you want some good art theory, and a ton of ideas all in one place, then this is the bok you want. You can even click on the link and read the first part of it. The first part has some really pertinent dialouge about how people percieve art, so you really should check it out. I think artists can take a lot from this type of book, which is presented in a list, so that they can gain more insight into their own work. These are definitely relevant to art and apply to a lot of other art forms, as well.

There’s almost an infinite amount of things to know about art and music, so you can start by checking out this book. It is a wonderful mix of culture, media, creativity, and love. Art with a higher purpose is the aim, so you can get a sneak peek and maybe get it to include in your art theory book collection.

I think every artist should have this art theory book, or one of them in their collection. It is truly a work of great depth, and applies many principles and methods to art as a whole. It is a fantastic read. Also, at the back, these ideas are perfect for anyone interested in contemporary design and culture. The book also dicusses architectural topics, like movement patterns, juxtapositions, spatial layouts, and other things.

Get a copy and see for yourself, and you really can’t go wrong. It’s really like no other art book out there. I highly recommend getting the paperback and going from there.Plus the cover looks good, is unusual, and looks good on a coffee table. A great addition to any library this art theory book is one of the frontrunners of it’s time. It’s maybe, like, sort of ahead of it’s time in some ways.

This book is a synthesis of many years of accumulated knowledgge by the great Art instructor and educator, John Dewey. It is still as pertinent today as it was when it was written. A great Choice.

Steven Yessick Original Oil Paintings 2000-2009: A Journey into the Abstract and Unknown

The best oil and acrylic paintings by Steven Yessick, a.k.a. @yessickart. Ranging in complexity from the simple abstract to the complicated interplay of form. An intermingling of the luxurious and the decadent. Abstract and surreal art from the 21st century and beyond, in a magnificent visual display, with commentary by the author and artist.

The reason why is it good to look at complete works, is that you get to see how an artist evolves, and see the different things that they produce along the way. This has many great pieces in it. Check it out, a contemporary painter. Coolm book!

This a truly outstanding read, based on a TV series about how different people percieve things differently. What an outstanding compilation of knowledge about perception, and how visual art can affect it, to some degree. ANyways, a great book to have if you are an artist.

Considered a great classic by all who seek for a meeting ground between science and the humanities, Art and Illusion examines the history and psychology of pictorial representation in light of present-day theories of visual perception information and learning.
